Tin Foil Art

Today we started our tin foil figures. We were molding the tin foil into human figures doing an activity. We were using the Art Elements of size and perspective!

It looks much easier than it is - as we found out!!

Buddy Sharing Time

We had Room one come to visit us today, and they brought with them some art to show us as well as a book to share. We showed them our Planets and then one of our groups did a play for them.

Afterwards, we sang 'We are Aotearoa' together.

Planet Art

For our current unit of Inquiry, we have been discovering interesting information about planets - including Dwarf Planets and Stars.

We decided that we would each create a model of our assigned planet using paper mache!

Next week we will add texture and colour to our planets to make them more life-like.

Social Dancing!

Today was our first session of Social Dancing. We combined with Room 4 to practise the March in preparation for our end of year Dine and Dance!

Turns out we have some pretty cool moves!

Room Three were very excited that Poppy got her story published in a book and is attending a young writers conference in Auckland!

Water Only School?

We are currently investigating whether we should be a 'Water-only School'.

Some points to consider...
- Why is drinking Fizzy so bad?
- Should we be allowed it for treats?
- Should we have fizzy at school discos? Ag Day?

Go home and discuss with your family.
